Promotion & Social Media Intern

Dearside is seeking a sincere, energetic and responsible intern to support the promotion of its counselling, guidance, psychoeducational and community-based programmes.

The intern will assist in increasing awareness about Dearside’s services among women, adolescents, young adults, parents, schools and community organisations. The role will combine digital promotion, Instagram management, local outreach, campaign coordination and support for workshops and awareness programmes.

This internship is suitable for someone who is confident in communication, interested in meaningful social-impact work and willing to take initiative in helping a growing organisation reach the people who may benefit from its services.

• Assist in planning and implementing promotional campaigns for Dearside’s counselling services, workshops and awareness programmes.

• Support the management of Dearside’s Instagram accounts, including scheduling posts, stories and reels.

• Assist in creating promotional posters, brochures, invitations, presentations and digital material using Canva.

• Participate in content shoots, reels, interviews and awareness videos, where required.

• Identify suitable schools, colleges, community organisations and institutions for outreach.

• Assist in contacting schools, parents, educators and community representatives through phone, WhatsApp, email and in-person visits.

• Promote workshops, counselling programmes, parent sessions, school initiatives and community events.

• Support the distribution of brochures, posters and other promotional material in appropriate locations.

• Maintain records of outreach contacts, enquiries, campaign responses and follow-up actions.

• Assist in coordinating awareness programmes, workshops, events and promotional activities.

• Research suitable content trends, outreach opportunities and community engagement ideas.

• Suggest creative and practical ways to improve Dearside’s visibility and public engagement.
